It took me a few chapters to get into The Husband’s Secret, however, I suddenly fell into the word of turmoil and stress that Liane Moriarty created.
It starts off a bit confusing as it is hard to connect the different stories together but if youstick with it you can start to put them all together.
I did guess the big secret and I was correct about it but that didn’t stop me wishing that it wasn’t true.
The way Moriarty describes all of the characters emotions is so enthralling and captivating that it draws you in and holds you there until the last minute, always wondering what is going to happen next.
I really enjoyed learning how the characters grew in their emotions and their situations that they were put in. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite female character in this book because I find them all fairly equal, however, my favorite male character had to be Connor, just because of how attractive Moriarty described him to be and because of how much he went through in his life.
I really enjoyed his and Tess’ relationship because it was what they both needed but maybe not enough for Connor. In a way I think I would have liked Tess to pick Connor but I understand why she didn’t because she had to pick her son and husband over this new ‘fling’ with her attractive ex.
